Acadian Tastings and Culture. (06/15/2006 - 09/30/2006) At the Acadian Museum staff wearing traditional costumes greet visitors and host presentations of wool carding, spinning, weaving and rug hooking. Aromas from the restaurant Acadien kitchen (is kitchen part of the title?) tempt all ages; luscious meat pies, cod fish cakes, chiard and pan-friend (huh?) potato cakes await guests. Celtic Colours International Festival. (10/07/2006 - 10/15/2006) Cape Breton's Celtic culture is showcased each autumn by more than 250 musicians, dancers, singers, and storytellers who celebrate the island's uniqueness and world-class talent. The sounds of fiddles, pipes, and raised voices resound from a number of places across the island.
